The Gannel estuary in North Cornwall separates Crantock from Pentire Point East and the town of Newquay. The Gannel, a hidden gem not discovered by many, at high tide becomes virtually inaccessible but via the water. At low tide it becomes a playground for all.
This photo essay brings together the differing human interactions upon a 500 meter strip of land that becomes accessible twice once every 24 hours, affectionally known locally as the ‘boat yard’.
